You’re probably sick and tired of having hair growth in places it shouldn’t be! It’s irritating, time consuming and sometimes embarrassing. In addition to the appearance, problems such as ingrown hairs, folliculitis and skin rashes can be the after-effects of frequent plucking, waxing or shaving. The team at Laser Skin Care have many years experience in dealing with these concerns using laser hair removal, the most effective method of long-term hair control.
Our lasers represent state-of-the-art technology for laser hair removal and allow deeper penetration into the skin than what was previously possible. The laser targets the very deepest part of the hair root (follicle) inhibiting the hair’s ability to grow without disrupting or damaging the skin’s surface. And as a result, better results can usually be expected.
At Laser Skin Care our Doctors will take your skin and hair type into account before creating a personalised treatment plan.
Laser Hair Removal can be successfully & safely used on all areas of the body.
Utilising a large square spot and a rapid firing rate (2 per second) allows quick treatments and the fully integrated chill tip reduces the discomfort significantly. Complications are minimised by protecting the skin against overheating and burning. The chilled skin allows higher powers than were previously possible to be used routinely. Higher powers maximise effect on hair growth.
Medical Grade Laser hair removal benefits include:
• Permanent hair reduction
• Reduce ingrown hairs
• Safe and effective technology
• Convenient and cost-effective
• With every treatment, hair grows back thinner and lighter
• Laser Hair Removal can help with excess growth for PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome)
• Laser hair removal is a promising therapy in the management of Pilonidal Sinus (infected hair growth) decreasing the chance of recurrence.
• Shave the treatment area the night before your appointment.
• Do not wax in the 4 weeks leading up to your appointment as pigment is required in the hair follicle for the laser to identify the hair and treatment to be effective.
•Avoid exposing the area to direct sunlight for 2 weeks prior to your treatment and always protect the skin with sunscreen.
There may be some mild heat and redness in areas that have been treated. Over the counter medication is recommended for post treatment discomfort. You may also apply Restorative Gel (highest recommended), cool towels, ice packs or aloe vera to alleviate discomfort due to heat.
For 24 hours post-treatment, avoid shaving, waxing or plucking hair, exfoliation, excessive sweating, swimming or saunas, very hot showers and tight restrictive clothing.
Avoid any additional laser treatments or chemical procedures on the treated area for at least 2 weeks post-treatment or until healing has occurred.
Avoid using seat warmers immediately after treatment.
To achieve the best results, complete the full treatment schedule at the intervals recommended by your Laser Doctor.
