Wrinkle relaxers are used as an anti-wrinkle treatment. When we laugh or frown our brain sends a signal to our muscles to make expression lines appear on our face. Using this injection treatment, the potent muscle relaxant smooths out the expression lines, lessening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
The way the wrinkle relaxer works is that it blocks the signals from the nerve to the facial muscles to stop them contracting, leaving the skin looking smooth.

Instructions post wrinkle relaxant procedure:
1. Remain upright (don’t lie down) for 4 hours
2. Don’t touch the area(s) injected, especially don’t massage
3. Use the muscles frequently (ie frown or squint a lot) over the next 4 hours.
Notes
Slight swelling and or bruising is common post injection.
Paralysis of the muscles with disappearance or reduction of the lines should occur between 1 to 2 weeks.
Re-treatment is usually required 3 to 6 months.
